What I've been doing since september...

Finally here I am writing again on this space!!

After Montescudaio I worked hard to arrange all the documentation about the excavation with my collegue Michele: for the first time I did a "Matrix" by myself (a sort of pattern of the stratigraphy we excavated), for the first time I wrote an essay about "my area", for the first time I corrected a stratigraphic layer cards and for the first time I did all those nasty things real archaeoligists do after they've played with picks and showels in the country!
Unfortunately after all these efforts I still have to be paid!!! (Someone says it could happen at the end of this month!! Cross fingers for me!!!).

Then I took part to a survey in Fosdinovo and to the second campaign of excavation in the garden of the national museum of San Matteo, here in Pisa.
And we have plans for many other things: new survey near the place where I live in March, two months of excavation in Montescudaio in spring, a month in La Brina and a months in S. Matteo in summer.

Besides my job I took the two parts of the modern history exam, for the first one I got a 30. I'm still waiting to know the mark of the second one and now I'm studying "history and culture of the Islamic countries" which I'll sit the 6th of february. If everything will be like I would like it to be I'll sit for my last exam in September and in spring-summer 2008 I'll be finally a "senior graduate" which means I could start to think seriously about a job outside Italy!

Since October I've been doing a tandem with a swedish guy called Johan who's been spending some months in Pisa to study our language. He's a nice nice nice guy, teaching me Swedish and helping me a lot with English. Unfortunately he's going to leave Italy at the end of February and I'm already sad for this! (even if for Xmas he gave me a book of funny stories about Norwegian people!:-/)
Anyway I'm planning an Inter rail for August with my friends Ilaria and Claudio: Munich and Berlin (To visit Michi, the former tandem of Ilaria, and Mark, the guy she's been doing a tandem now and who in august will be back home), Copenaghen, Malmö, Göteborg, Stockholm, Uppsala (To visit Johan who usually lives there) and then Oslo and Bergen in Norway! Hoping to have enough money to do all this!!

Ilaria broke off with her historical boyfriend after nine years of relationship. Now we see each other together with Claudio very often and I'm a lot happy with them, we are the three "morituri"... One day I'll tell you all the story about this!

I went to Lisbon with Claudio the first week of December. A wonderful holyday except the fact that someone stole my wonderful bag, the big brown leather one that my friends gave to me for my graduation, together with my camera, my mobile, my agenda, my mp3 reader, my visa, my identity card, my university card and all my money!!! Grrrrr.... That's why I haven't taken any pics...

Anyway here some other images from all these months of silence:

-My collegues playing a medieval game during the medieval party in Vicopisano in September (me taking the pic).

-From right to left: me, Claudio and Ilaria the day Claudio took his degree (please notice the wonderful big brown leather bag on the right and sing a requiem for it!).

-Me and Johan being stupid in Volterra. (probably me more than him!)

-Me and my lillebror at home.

I swear...

...I'm still alive!

Simply many things to do and many things to think of...

New exam in few days, the 10th of january exactly. Then I think I'll have just a bit of time to write about all I did in these long months!

Merry 2007 to all of you!!!
